Welcome to Cerebral Beach Hacks! We’re so excited to have you. In order to provide everyone with a safe and welcoming event experience, all attendees, sponsors, speakers, mentors, partners, volunteers, and event staff are required to agree and abide by the following event rules, in addition to the AI LA Terms of Service, Code of Conduct, and AI LA Privacy Policy
-
All contents of your project submission, including all design elements, hardware builds, code, etc. must be created during the event. Third party tools and frameworks are allowed as well as your normal tooling (NPM, Yarn, etc.) While you may not begin coding in advance, you can plan and discuss with your team before the event. Written documents and design sketches are allowed. You may also incorporate pre-existing material that is freely available to the public into your project, such as public domain images, Creative Commons music, open-source libraries, existing APIs and platforms, and the like.
-
Projects must involve writing significant software, though hardware may be incorporated. Note: projects that incorporate peripheral hardware that may need additional space (such as large robotic devices, drones, etc.) must be pre-approved by AI LA. For questions or approval, please contact hack@cerebralbeach.com. Please note that some hardware, such as drones, may be subject to additional restrictions and regulations by the event venue.
-
Teams may be comprised of up to 5 people. No exceptions will be made.
-
Any intellectual property developed during the hackathon will belong to the team that developed it.
-
Participants must display a valid AILA-issued wristband and/or lanyard at all times while participating in the event.
-
Attendance at the event is limited to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Attendees will be required to show a government-issued ID with a visible birth date.
